Step 1: First gather your materials. You will need: a bowl ( use one you don't care about), masking tape, cotton swabs,and toothpicks.
Step 2: Then you want to gather up your nail polish. You want to use water based nail polish; I usually use Sally Hanson.
Step 3: Next you want to fill your cup with room temperature water up to the top. Then do tip#1, after you have done tip#1 you should line up all your nail polish and unscrew all the caps.
Step 4: After you unscrew all the caps you want to take one of the colors of nail polish, and let the paint slide off the brush. Then as it starts to expand you want to add another color and so on. When you get all the colors you want take a toothpick and simply swirl it around.
Step 5: Finally, you take your masking tape and wrap it around your fingers ( this is to protect your fingers from the polish. Then you simply dip you nail lightly on the polish, you want to wait about 10 seconds. After that you take your nail out, wait another 10 seconds, then peel off the tape. It should come out like this... well not exactly like this.
